QCLA’s New York City Trip is intended for Queen’s students of any year and any faculty interested in law, whether they hope to pursue Business Law specifically or if they desire to learn more about what lawyers and law students do in their everyday life.
Delegates will get the chance to visit and engage with top law schools and law firms, while also having time to explore the city and everything it has to offer. Our goal is to provide delegates with opportunities to learn about what the profession truly looks like, talk to professionals one-on-one, and more, in hopes of guiding them on their law career journey.
Embark on the QCLA Toronto Trip for hands-on experience in the legal world. This journey takes you through the heart of Toronto, where you'll step inside some of the city's top law firms and Canada’s top law school. It's a practical, eye-opening excursion tailored for students curious about a career in law. You'll meet professionals, ask questions, and see the inner workings of the legal field up close.
This experience will not only allow you to see the firms firsthand, but you will also be able to connect with Queen’s University Alumni, as well as Queen’s Commerce graduates specifically, who have pursued successful legal careers. At the firms, delegates will get the opportunity to hear from these individuals as well as various other lawyers and their diverse experiences in the field through panels and interactive Q&A sessions. It's more than just an educational journey; it's a chance to network, gain inspiration, and lay the groundwork for a successful understanding of the legal field.
Join us by participating in the 2024 QCLA Mock Trial. This event is an incredible experience, open to students across all faculties. With professionals in the field acting as guest judges and participants along with numerous cash prizes, this is an event you won't want to miss.
