New York City Trip
Every year delegates join the QCLA team for an unforgettable and insightful three days of visiting top law firms and law schools. Delegates get the opportunity to explore the incredible city of New York and create new connections with Queen's students across faculties.

Law Firm Visits
Get the chance to network and learn from lawyers at some of the top law firms in NYC through the NYC trip law firm visits. During last years trip, we visited both Milbank and O’Melveny where we toured their offices, listened to a panel, and had Q&A sessions.

Law School Visits
We will be touring law schools through guided tours with the opportunity to ask questions about applications, class offerings, student life, etc. In previous years, delegates visited Colombia Law and NYU Law.

Networking and Team Bonding
As a delegate, you will have numerous opportunities to build up your network and bond with your team. The trip provides a chance to ask valuable question and earn insights on the legal field from current students and professionals. This along with the trips team bonding activities creates bonds that will last beyond this amazing trip.

Exploring The City
Have some fun touring NYC with your fellow delegates! Some previous activities included walking tours of the 9/11 memorial, Wall St. WTC, Battery Park, the MoMA, and attended a comedy show! Students also had the chance to choose what extra activities were most of interest to them to really get the most out of their NYC experience.

I attended the QCLA NYC trip in 2022 and it was such an amazing experience! A law degree is something I have always been interested in pursuing, and the NYC trip helped solidify that this was the right path for me. This was my first time in the city and the trip planning committee did an excellent job of incorporating all sorts of activities, firm visits, and law school tours to give a comprehensive view of what NYC has to offer. Highly recommend this trip even if you just want to learn more about what the legal world has to offer.

QCLA’s annual New York City trip is definitely a highlight of my second and third years at Queen’s. I was able to get exposure to the legal field by interacting with people at some of the top law firms and law schools in the world. The insights I gained from meeting people, both students and professionals, solidified my decision to pursue law after undergrad. Not only was it a very informative trip, it was also an opportunity to meet and build relationships with other delegates and executive members. We also had the opportunity to explore the city and take part in many fun events and activities. The QCLA New York trip is an incredible experience!
