"Participating in the QCLA Mock Trial during my first year at Smith was an incredible experience! As one of my first competitions in the program, I signed up with little hands-on experience or legal knowledge. That said, the QCLA team truly gave me all the preparation I needed to participate in 2 preliminary rounds, semi-finals, and finals!! Some highlights included the insightful guest speakers, helpful feedback from judges, and amazing prizes! The QCLA Mock Trial gave me the opportunity to meet other like-minded peers interested in law and develop valuable skills like legal research, public speaking, and impromptu critical thinking.
